Reports
Members flag a message or a member to your staff. Each report is a card in your reports channel, kept up to date, with a thread for the staff to talk it over.
Do this on my dashboardReports let any member point the staff at a problem without pinging a moderator in public. Each report becomes a card in a channel only your staff can see, with a thread under it. The card always shows where the report stands; staff act from its buttons.
How members report
- Right-click a message → Apps → Report message. The message is copied into the report at once, so deleting it afterwards changes nothing.
- Right-click a member → Apps → Report member.
/report member reason.
They say what is wrong in a short form. Only they see the confirmation, with the report's number.
If several members report the same message — or the same member — while the report is still open, they join that report: the card shows "and 2 more", and the thread gets a line for each.
Set it up
- Create a channel only your staff can read, such as
#reports. - In Moderation → Reports, turn on Let members report and pick that channel.
- Optionally, a role to ping on each new report.
The threads inherit the channel's permissions, so nobody else sees them. The bot needs Create Public Threads and Send Messages in Threads there; the page warns when it lacks them.
The card
It shows who is reported, by whom (and how many others), the reason, and for a message, its text, its channel and a link to it. When a reporter has had reports rejected before, the card says how many.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Take it | Marks the report as yours, so two moderators do not work on it at once. |
| Sanction | The same menu as right-click → Sanction. The case is linked to the report, which is resolved. |
| Delete message | Deletes the reported message. |
| Resolve | Closes it as handled. |
| Reject | Closes it as not needing action. It counts against the reporter. |
Closing a report archives its thread. The dashboard lists every report with the same Resolve and Reject.
The reporter
With Tell reporters when it is handled on (the default), reporters get a DM when their report is resolved or rejected. It never says who handled it.
Against abuse
- Time between two reports from the same member: off, 30 seconds, 1 minute (default), 5 or 15 minutes.
- Members who may not report: add their Discord ID.
- Rejected reports are counted on each new card from that member.
Reports are on the free plan.
Sanctions
Warn, time out, kick and ban from Discord, with one numbered record per server that the honeypot, scam pictures, verification and Discord itself write into too.
Appeals
Sanctioned members contest a sanction from its DM or from the website. Each appeal is a card with a thread; accepting lifts the sanction.
