Sanctions
Warn, time out, kick and ban from Discord, with one numbered record per server that the honeypot, scam pictures, verification and Discord itself write into too.
Do this on my dashboardSUPREO's moderation commands hand out sanctions; every one of them becomes a numbered case in your server's record. So do the honeypot's, the scam-picture filter's, verification's, and the bans, kicks and timeouts someone does by hand in Discord. Moderation → Sanctions on the dashboard is where you read the record, change a case's reason or lift it.
The commands
| Command | What it does | Discord permission |
|---|---|---|
/warn member [reason] | A DM to the member and a line in their record. Nothing else happens on Discord. | Timeout Members |
/timeout member duration [reason] | The member cannot write, react or join voice until it ends. At most 28 days. | Timeout Members |
/untimeout member [reason] | Lifts a timeout early. | Timeout Members |
/kick member [reason] | Removes the member; an invite brings them back. | Kick Members |
/softban member [reason] [delete_messages] | Bans and unbans at once: the member is out and their recent messages (the last 24 hours unless you choose) are gone, but they can rejoin. Made for hacked accounts. | Ban Members |
/ban user [reason] [delete_messages] | Bans until someone lifts it. Paste an ID to ban someone who is not in the server. | Ban Members |
/tempban user duration [reason] [delete_messages] | Bans for a set time (up to a year), then unbans by itself. | Ban Members |
/unban user [reason] | Lifts a ban. Start typing a name and pick from your ban list, or paste an ID. | Ban Members |
/purge count [member] | Deletes up to 100 recent messages in the channel, optionally one member's only. Discord only deletes messages younger than 14 days this way. | Manage Messages |
/slowmode delay [channel] | Sets how long members wait between two messages (10s, 1m, up to 6h; 0 or off turns it off). | Manage Channels |
/sanctions list member | A member's record, newest first. | Timeout Members |
/sanctions info case | Everything about one case. | Timeout Members |
/sanctions reason case reason | Changes the reason written on a case. | Timeout Members |
/sanctions revoke case [reason] | Lifts a ban or timeout that is still in force, or cancels any other case. | The case's own |
/modview member | A member's whole record (see below). | Timeout Members |
Every sanction command also takes silent: the member is not told by DM.
/modview member (or right-click a member → Apps → Moderation record) shows one member's whole record: sanctions, reports about them and by them, appeals, tickets and verification, with a link to their page on the dashboard.
Right-click a member → Apps → Sanction does the same without typing: pick the sanction from a menu, then fill in the reason (and the duration for a timeout or temporary ban).
Durations
Write them as 10m, 2h, 1d, 1w, or combined: 1d 12h. A bare number counts as minutes. j (jour) and g (giorno) work for days too.
Who may use them
Each command is shown by default to members with the Discord permission in the table. Change who sees which command in Server Settings → Integrations → SUPREO.
Members of the admin and moderator groups on the Roles page may use every moderation command, whatever their Discord permissions — once Discord shows them the command.
Nobody can sanction themselves, the bot, or the server owner, and a moderator cannot sanction someone whose highest role is equal to or above theirs (the owner excepted). The bot also needs its role above the member's: move it up in Server Settings → Roles.
What the member is told
Before a kick or a ban — while the bot can still reach them — the member gets a DM: which server, what, why, and until when for a timeout or temporary ban. With appeals on, it carries a Contest button. The moderator is not named unless you switch that on. If their DMs are closed, the sanction still applies and the case says they were not told.
The record
The dashboard lists every case, newest first, with four counts on top: all cases, the last 30 days, active bans and active timeouts. Search by member, moderator, ID or #case, and filter by sanction, origin and status.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | A ban or timeout still in force; a warning that counts. |
| Done | A kick, softban, unban or lifted timeout: it happened. |
| Expired | A temporary ban or timeout that ran out. |
| Revoked | Lifted or cancelled by staff, with who and why. |
| Failed | Discord refused it, usually a missing permission or a role too low. The case says why. |
Lift on an active ban or timeout undoes it on Discord now. Cancel on anything else only marks the case revoked: a kick cannot be undone. Edit reason changes the record, not Discord's own audit log.
A new ban replaces the member's earlier active ban or temporary ban, and an unban or /untimeout closes the matching active case.
Where cases come from
| Origin | |
|---|---|
| Command | A moderation command or the right-click menu. |
| Discord (by hand) | A ban, unban, kick or timeout done in Discord itself, or by another bot. The bot needs View Audit Log to see them. |
| Honeypot, Scam pictures, Verification | Those features' own sanctions. They still DM in their own words and keep their own log. |
Settings
- Moderation log channel — a card for every case, every lifted case and every edited reason. Keep it staff-only. When the honeypot, scam pictures or verification log to the same channel, their cases are not posted twice.
- Tell the member by DM — on by default.
- Name the moderator in that DM — off by default.
- Require a reason — sanctions without one are refused.
Permissions
New invites ask for Kick Members, Ban Members, Timeout Members and View Audit Log. On a server that added SUPREO before, grant them to the bot's role, or invite it again from the dashboard. A command the bot cannot carry out says which permission is missing; the Sanctions page lists them too.
Overview
Everything SUPREO does to keep a server clean — sanctions with one numbered record, reports, appeals, anti-spam, anti-raid, the honeypot, scam pictures and verification.
Reports
Members flag a message or a member to your staff. Each report is a card in your reports channel, kept up to date, with a thread for the staff to talk it over.
